Alyssa Sales

As a Project and Policy Analyst for CPR3, Alyssa conducts policy landscaping to assess existing pandemic research, programs, and ballot proposals to aid stakeholder preparation for implementation of future policies. In addition to CPR3, Alyssa contributes to another of Dr. Priya Shete’s projects, Equip-CA (Evaluating Equity Focused COVID-19 Policies in California), and a UCSF tuberculosis-focused global health project sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Alyssa holds a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior with a concentration in Public Health from Columbia University. At Columbia University Irving Medical Center, she conducted qualitative research on patients’ experiences with telemedicine, their mental health during the pandemic, and her team’s initiatives to improve uptake of mental health treatments. In her free time, Alyssa loves illustrating fashion designs, playing golf, and writing poetry.
