Ella Cornell

In her research role with CPR³, Ella Cornell, MD, is responsible for landscaping the existing literature related to the CPR³ priority topic areas to inform the background for RFPs. She has a focus on public health communication and behavior change. 

Dr. Cornell is an Internal Medicine Resident at UCSF. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, where her research focus was on disparities in access to surgical and post-hospital care, particularly for victims of violence. Prior to medical school, she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and went on to complete her postbaccalaureate premedical training at Columbia University. Her interests include access to care for underserved communities, health policy, implementation science, and critical care. In addition to her role with CPR3, she works on research related to transitions of care for critically ill patients and serves on the residency education committee for the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Ella grew up between the United States and Italy. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, making wine, and spending time with her fiancé and dog.
