In his role as Contracting Support, Phillip helps ensure a quick turn-around for CPR³ award distribution by assisting with contract execution.
Phillip is an Award Specialist for Research Management Services, serving the Department of Medicine, CVRI, School of Pharmacy, Neurosurgery, Anatomy, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, and Physiology. Phillip brings a diverse background to his role as Award Specialist. He has an undergraduate degree in biology where he wrote a Senior Thesis in Molecular Genetics focusing on the identification of novel regulatory proteins for purine biosynthesis. After school he spent five years working in a cell and molecular biology laboratory. More recently, he graduated from law school and is a registered patent attorney.
