Julia Viega

As the CPR3 Project Coordinator, Julia helps facilitate meeting coordination and scheduling, records and disperses meeting notes, and provides communications support.

Prior to working with CPR3, Julia was an intern with the Global Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) Research Team at UCSF, where she supported work related to Respectful Maternity Care and helped develop the Advancing MNCH website. Julia is very passionate about MNCH, which has led her to get involved with UCSF’s Pregnancy Pop-Up Village and become a volunteer doula. She recieved her BA in Public Health from UC Berkeley in 2022 and spent the summer of 2022 doing Family Planning research in Rwanda. Julia’s familial and volunteer background has developed her passion for improving the experiences and outcomes of mothers, newborns, and children in local and global underserved communities. In her free time, Julia enjoys traveling and spending time outside with her family, fiancé, and new puppy.
