June 13, 2024 -- The California Collaborative for Public Health Research (CPR3) has unveiled an exciting new tool poised to streamline how data are accessed and used for public health research. The CPR3 Research Data Catalog is a free and open hub for research-derived datasets and research being conducted across the 10 University of California (UC) campuses aimed at addressing pressing public health challenges.
September 20, 2023 -- More than 30 research projects led by teams from all 10 University of California (UC) campuses have been awarded over $6 million in funding from the CPR3 program – the California Collaborative for Pandemic Recovery and Readiness Research. CPR3 is a joint effort between UC San Francisco (UCSF), the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS), and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), aimed at using real-world evidence from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic to help all Californians gain a renewed and improved sense of health and wellbeing.

Guest speakers who framed the initiative and its priority areas included: Tomás Aragon (CDPH), Rohan Radhakrishna (CDPH Office of Health Equity), Stephanie Welch (CalHHS), Melissa Stafford Jones (CalHHS), and Erica Pan (CDPH). A member from each awarded team presented a visual abstract of their project, highlighting the overall goal and evidence gap they hope to fill.
December 12, 2022 -- The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) launched the California Collaborative for Pandemic Recovery and Readiness Research (CPR³), a research initiative to investigate the effects of the pandemic on California communities and individuals. The new research program aims to leverage lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic to inform future public health policies and investments. The research is led by Principal Investigator Priya Shete, MD, associate professor of medicine and epidemiology and biostatistics at UCSF.
