Alyssa Sales
Project and Policy Analyst
As a Project and Policy Analyst for CPR3, Alyssa conducts landscaping to assess public health research, programs, and ballot proposals—aiding in the implementation of future equity-based, community-focused policies.
In addition to CPR3, Alyssa contributes to research for another of Dr. Priya Shete’s projects, Equip-CA (Evaluating Equity Focused COVID-19 Policies in California). Alyssa also co-leads qualitative research for a global tuberculosis study sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Alyssa holds a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior with a concentration in Public Health from Columbia University. At Columbia University Irving Medical Center, she conducted research on telemedicine use, patients’ mental health during the pandemic, and her team’s initiatives to improve uptake of mental health treatments. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys illustrating fashion designs, playing pickleball, and writing poetry.
